Each time the ball is hit with the provided wooden mallet, a new ball pops up to replace it! This game is great for repeatedly stimulating a child's hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and concentration ability.
My three-year-old loves the anticipation of watching the next ball pop up after each hit, and the wooden mallet feels sturdy enough to withstand his enthusiastic pounding. It's a simple concept that keeps him focused way longer than I expected.
My 2-year-old can't stop playing with this. The mallet is the perfect size for her little hands, and the way a new ball pops up instantly keeps her entertained for ages. I've noticed her aim getting better after just a week.
Bought this for my nephew and the pop-up mechanism works exactly as described, he'll whack one ball down and immediately wait for the next. Only thing is the mallet is a bit light for older kids, but for a toddler it's fine.
