My toddler grabbed the drumsticks the second I unboxed this and hasn’t put them down since. The guiro and cymbal add a nice variety of sounds, and at over 13 inches tall it’s sturdy enough for some serious banging.

The guiro is the sleeper hit here — my kid scrapes that ridged side for ten minutes straight while I get dinner going. Set is tall enough that my 3-year-old can stand and play both drums without crouching.

The two drum sizes give a nice range of sounds, and the cymbal holds up to enthusiastic banging. It’s a solid little set that stands steady, though I wish the guiro had come with a scraper instead of just the sticks.
